Standard terms & conditions of service
These conditions are necessary to ensure the well-being of our valued Guests and the orderly continuance of the Establishment.
Reservations and Payment and Terms
1.1. The establishment operates on a self-catering basis and does not provide or arrange other services such as meals, personal laundry, transport, tours, functions, events, parties, baby sitting, and conferences. We will however, on request endeavour to provide details of suppliers that should be able to provide these services directly to the guest.
1.2. The names of the persons including contact details, booking the unit must be provided when the reservation is made.
1.3. Reservations will not be confirmed until proof of payment is provided to us at which time we will send a confirmation form with relevant reservation details to the guest.
1.4. Payment Terms/Cancellations: A 50% deposit is required to secure bookings and 100% for 1 night stays . The balance is payable in cash or credit card (we regret, no debit cards) on arrival, except for high peak period bookings (15 December – 8 January) which are payable in full by 30 November.
1.4.1 a Refundable breakage deposit of R250 per unit is payable on arrival.
Arrival and Departure
2.1. Check in time is between 14:00 and 19:00 unless prior arrangements have been made. No check-in will be made after 21:00. This is necessary to ensure the security, comfort and wellbeing of other guests.
2.2. Check out time is by 10:00 strictly unless prior arrangements have been made. This is to enable the room to be prepared in time for new arrivals. Late check outs may be charged for, depending availability.
Parking and Access
3.1. Should you need to bring more than one vehicle per unit please do inquire about the availability of parking. One set of keys is provided per unit. The cost of replacement keys is R250.00. Rooms must be locked, windows closed and keys handed in to Management or dropped in the key box on departure.
3.2. No additional guests will be accepted than booked for. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage.
3.3. Parking in the Villa Chante premises is reserved for guests only. Guests may only park on their designated parking. No additional vehicles will be allowed to park on-site than what the unit allows, to ensure sufficient parking space for other guests.
4.1. The office is contactable from 08:00 to 17:00 daily. The management team can be contacted for after hour assistance. Earlier check-outs can be arranged on arrival.
5.1 Selected units have indoor BBQ facilities, whilst other units share a communal area. Please do be considerate when it comes to noise levels. No loud music is permitted. Please dispose of any waste.
5.2 No fireworks to be let off on or around the property, due to us being situated in a Conservancy. Failing to comply might result in a fine.
6.1. No smoking is allowed in the units.
Loss or Damage to Establishment Property
7.1. The guest is liable for any loss or damages (excluding wear and tear) to the property of the establishment during their stay. This includes the damage to linen, crockery, etc.
7.2 Sun Tan lotion / Self tan lotion causes permanent stains to white linen. Please be considerate.
8.1. The establishment cannot be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevents us from fulfilling out obligation to guests. We will take all reasonable steps to minimize disruption and discomfort to guests under these conditions.
9.1 Pets are welcome by pre-arrangement in selected units only (Units 3,4 & 6). Pets are limited to 2 small breeds or 1 medium breed. We regret, No large dogs.
9.2 Pets are not allowed on any furniture or beds. Please bring your own dog beds and feeding bowls.
9.3 All dog waste to be picked up immediately. Failure to do so, will result in the forfeit of your breakage deposit.
9.4 No additional pets will be accepted than booked for.
